At TD-web I can do the trade for ~3¢ a share ($30/cal or put). If you do it both way (buy then sell or vis versa) you calculate ~6¢ or 7¢. So it's not that expensive. Now with TD you better check your trade, never place an at-the-market order with option. A lot of front-trading is done on many trades especially on order placed at-market prior to opening. Also if there is some in the money left at expiration do the selling explicitly otherwise they will steal you that money for sure.
