kapkan4u:

"<INTC is a long way from $70 and AMD is a long way from $39, the prices that you got put>

"And don't forget LU at $40 that Elmer got assigned to. I am sure he got it all back, and then some, by writing LU CCs with $40 strike one penny at a time.
Just checked, the ask for Jan 03 LU $40 call is $.05. Too bad the bid is $.00 <ggg>"

Not to worry. kap: In Elmer's own words: he says he's "working on it. Life is a learning experience and it takes time to learn."

Some people have a knack for understatement!!!hehehe...

He goes on to say:
"For commission to be a small factor you need a discount brokerage of some kind.
Sure. Why give your money to someone to place an order for you when you can do it yourself for a lot less?"

Yep, those brokerage fees do eat into those 1 contract purchases...Seems to have missed the "economies of scale" issue that is fundamental to options...

Further dribble: "BTW, these options plays are not sophisticated by any means. They are pretty basic. It can get a lot more complicated."

And this from a guy who routinely complicates the mundane...Heck, I'll bet it takes him 30 minutes to pour and drink a glass of water!!!

Sorry but you're wrong. I was never assigned those LU puts. If you guys are just going to make things up then this will be the end of this discussion. If you're trying to show that I've lost some money on Puts then let me save you the trouble. I have. Nobody bats 1000.

Please stop making things up.
