Factory Orders Tues will be important, then on the 11th Wholesale Inventory and 13th Business Inventory. re "Everyone I know is using less credit" In hind sight I think we'll find that a substantial portion of consumer spending strength has come from re-mortgage credit. I don't know what percentage of these have been against floating rates as against locking in fixed... but if over the next year business does pick up, OR the U.S. has to defend the dollar, OR if Washington/Bush has to go against campaign promises to unlock the ultimate lock box of raising taxes.. many people will find themselves facing escalating home payments within an inflationary environment.
