Hi Mq - great rant. As for the world being saved - it's still touch-and-go, I fear. Hard to extrapolate from what I see anecdotally because we are the first to benefit from government spending. Still, anecdotally, I am pleasantly surprised at all the remodeling going on in the neighborhood now that the weather is warming up. Home Depot parking lot is always a zoo (I guess you know what Home Depot is - it's an enormous hardware store, much beloved by homeowners with a penchant for home improvement.) Our tax assessment is up, too, government says our house appreciated another $50K over last year.
