Hi Mq - great rant. As for the world being saved - it's still touch-and-go, I fear. Hard to extrapolate from what I see anecdotally because we are the first to benefit from government spending.

Still, anecdotally, I am pleasantly surprised at all the remodeling going on in the neighborhood now that the weather is warming up. Home Depot parking lot is always a zoo (I guess you know what Home Depot is - it's an enormous hardware store, much beloved by homeowners with a penchant for home improvement.)

Our tax assessment is up, too, government says our house appreciated another $50K over last year.

Yes, Mq, I got as far as your PS - took me the whole weekend; -. I still think, that he's (just) YA (for Yet Another) wizzard of Oz and that will take more than just him and our wishful thinking to prop things up again to some sort of equilibrium.
