Joan, Tech always roars back, but it isn't the same tech, except in very rare cases. I don't really look for Cisco, Worldcom or Intel to lead this time. Microsoft is a big enough monopoly that it will hold on until something better comes along. Oracle and EMC are on the cusp.

But it will be names we either haven't heard of or have barely heard of that lead the way. Newer cos. surviving right now are going to be tough. Last year Nvidia was the big winner, and, though it was not an unknown, it hadn't been a big leader during the late 90s.

Bios are always a field where those who can pick the ripe ones from the rotten ones can make a ton of money. In this field, I've performed more like a blind pig finding an acorn. But I ended up with some nice oak trees. <g>
