Saw an ad on TV in which you might be interested, Radio Shack is talking up the superior connecting quality of their gold / gold plated products. I'd guess this will drive a bit of higher demand starting now and continuing for a year or three. Then in a year of so some the the connectors / cables will start making their way our of use & be replaced with more gold componets as people move / change vehicles & need longer or shorter / new cables / connectors.
