Have you personally adopted the Intelligent Design theory? Poor babies, they couldn't bear to let it go. Well, good try, but it won't work for long, it's too pathetic a grasping at straws.

I seem to recall you used to, with some discomfiture, feel it necessary to distance yourself from Creationism. I don't recall you having a place of refuge, but ID would seem to fill the bill. Are you an ID proponent now? (I've missed a lot of posts on BB the last few months.)

You might be interested in reading "The Whisperings Within," by David Barash.

"be dovetailed in a whole system" implies there is a system things get stuck into.

The 'system' is what adapts genetically and thus survives. What doesn't is, you might say, un-dovetailed, ie ceases to exist; what does is the system, and the only system extant.
