ZH - 1966 to 1982 included the Six Day and the Yom Kippur both of which had some material effect on the global economy. The 2nd oil price hitch knocked the stuffing out of most Western economies in a way that has never been felt before and I would suggest that the period above is one of themost abnormal in history combined as it was with the height of the Cold War and the Vietnam War.

No Russia, no China and no India. Going back to those times doesn't provide anywhere near a valid comparison.

Best,

L

Does anyone remember the interest rates during 1966 to 1982?

Is there a historical site for interest rates for the last 100 years?
