Larry your comments are well written. The scary scenarios are quite evident. Terrorists should not be allowed to change your investment style. This constant world will come to an end business must be replaced with intelligent discussion of ideas not just the possible doomsday threats. My recommendation is to own very little longs and sell puts and short stocks if your believe is genuinely that negative. Or as Larry suggested be out of the market entirely. For me I still believe in the market and will play the game as dictated by the market not by some obscure threat.

Larry, the macro environment is the starting point in determining any approach to investing. I think that kind of information, is very pertinent and valuable for investors to be have in hand. Why not invest in the companies that produce the nuclear monitoring instruments...I bet there is a play there. I spend hours a day scanning all news sources for information pertinent to investors...broker reports....independent research companies the wire services and the major newspapers world-wide...some of the information is probably very helpful to you. I would suggest a simple approach for your adversion to news( from major respected news sources) that is offensive or counter to the way you want to invest...simply put my name on ignore. I also would hope that others put me on ignore if they feel the same.
