The Nazi's weren't put on ignore, they just worked hard to rise to power and then whamo, dictated everything to everyone about everything. What we should have learned from the Nazi's is that freedom is fragile and "freedom of speech" is critical to for freedom as well as openness of the government.

The threat does not come from one-issue extremists such as Emile, but from politicians and commentators on the right who claim to possess "the truth." Unfortunately for America, Bill Clinton's sins gave these vocal extremists easy access.
