But with the uptick rule now in place, you will not be able to short a falling market like you could before. So the real massive selling will have to come from longs. But if like you say this is just short covering, then not much new longs are in it. I think some selling will eventually happen, but massive? No, I don't think so.

The shorts got greedy and got slaughtered. I'm sure a lot will see that as fair justice. <gg> Same way shorts saw the pop of the bubble and the dot.bomb implosions. <vbg>
