Larry, no problem..apology accepted but not necessary. I found the report upsetting and something I really dont enjoy reading or posting for others to read, but it contained information that is new and not widely reported. Most local newspapers only picked up parts of the story.
I thought things were back to normal and I could relax my guard. Not so in my opinion. The important word is guard. What this means to me, is closer monitoring of events, but no change in long positions. A major change for me is an increased investment in one instrument manufacturer and a "mental" large short position of the QQQ that can be put on if necessary to balance the risk in my long positions. I however, hope that never needs to filled. Others may see no need to do anything, and thats fine. Knowledge is power and knowledge is vital to wealth creation and preservation. The copy of the news flash on the Air India passenger last week was breaking news and later found to be nothing. However, the report I posted was real-time and did for that hour tank the market. Had a tragic mid-air event taken place, it had the potential to roil the markets for days. And for the active traders on this thread that could be very pertinent. Best wishes.
