I guess the pundits think the departure of a mere household servant is news...I guess the pundits think the departure of a mere household servant is news they also serve who write the words that send people into battle...and just as the exmilitary folk follow the doings of their successors with particular interest, the same goes for us "household servants"... re Nadine's comments, most people I talk to (including at least one who got the email in question) assume that he was, in fact, fired--although he wasn't going to stay forever. he's a very good guy, for a right wing loonie, and the whole flap should get him a nice fat advance for his next book... tb@downstairs.com
