Donner Corp. International Upgrades to Buy Recommendation on Xybernaut Corporation
SANTA ANA, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by Donner Corporation International, a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers, CRD number 37702.
Donner Corp. International, an Investment Banking firm headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., today upgraded its October 12, 1999 Speculative Buy Recommendation on Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR - news), Fairfax, Virginia, to a Buy Recommendation. Xybernaut holds the largest number of patents in the wearable computer industry and specializes in research, development and sales of wearable computer systems.

Donner said the upgrade is based on a number of recent, positive announcements by the Company, including:

-- Announcement of record revenues of $2.1 million for the nine months
ended September 30, 1999. Even though the Company is still operating
at a loss, its marketing development is accelerating strongly.

-- Strengthening its sales, marketing and business development units by
appointing an executive vice president and general manager with
significant experience with companies at the forefront of technological
change, including IBM.

-- Receiving orders from a division of Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., from
Israel, after months of rigorous testing of its products in that
nation, and having Ford Motor Company use Xybernaut products to stream
video to their web site from the floor of the International Auto Show
in Detroit, Michigan.

-- Winning the coveted Grand Prize for Best PC Product at the show at the
major COMDEX Japan show. Xybernaut beat out more than 100 other
candidates for its future-forward technology and its outstanding
product design.

-- Telling its annual meeting that half of the U.S. workforce, and
137 million people worldwide, do not work at a fixed location and are
candidates to use the Company's portable computers.

``We believe that Xybernaut is in the forefront of the new generation of wireless computers that could take significant market share from traditional desktop and notebook personal computers,' Donner said. ``By using Xybernaut's patented wearable computers, workers on the front lines of industrial facilities, or in the midst of non-stop tasks, can have the same functionality and connectivity as workers sitting at a desktop PC.'
