Of course, different people can define fulfillment differently. Your point is that with religious belief, we have worthy objectives chosen for us and, thus, are less likely to choose the unworthy. My point is that, with or without belief, we still have a choice and we still can choose the worthy. Whether we heathens would choose it more or less often that you religious, I don't know. All I know is that either of us can choose either.

To seek righteousness for righteousness sake. But why? That was my question.

Like I said, because it's there. I don't know that I can explain that to you any more than you can explain faith to me. One triangulates it, I guess. You don't need to believe in a deity to triangulate and choose a worthy path.

I have no intentions of climbing Everest even if it is there.

Seems to me that to dream of climbing Everest is to have a soul.
