All I can think about now is: how much weight can I reasonably lose by then?

All readings by poets are conducted while wearing black, or is it just that I haven't seen a poetry reading since the beatnik days? Anyway, just wear black and don't worry about it.

Karen

Weight loss? Nonsense. You will wear long diaphanous and flowing robes that scent the air with patchouli and rose when you pass by, dignified, the folds of your gown hinting at the voluptuousness beneath. What a fine figure of a woman, they will whisper. Who can she be?
And then you will speak, and they will fall silent at your dulcet tones, seduced by your sonorous words, and when asked later they will say, Weight? Weight? Why, she was a goddess. She floated weightless above us all.

COngratulations, Po. You have earned this, and it is yours to cherish and enjoy. Forget weight loss. That's for mere mortals and today you are not one.

The rule of thumb is 2 pounds a week, with about a five pound dividend the first week.......

how wonderful!!!!!

your voice, your story, will beguile them and take them to that special world you have created in poem

you could be naked and they wouldn't notice

[I may be fibbing here, about being naked]
