RE:"Jim: You must be still sleeping in a cave decorated with early 80's WSJ's. There is no inflation. NADA. Just like there wasn't any before in fact your friend AG put us into deflation. But at least he woke up when the something hit him over the head. Hear is what I was talking about re:
Dell offering:"

I just watched housing prices rise 50% to 100% in the last few years here and I know the real estate market well...

Not sure that I would say AG caused deflation....seems he didn't have a lot of control of the Y2k tech bubble on the way up anyway. Raising rates didn't seem to slow it down, had a mind of it's own. Of couse when it did correct he was forced to lower rates and fuel the real estate market...which has the best of both worlds....
Meanwhile, fixed income pays nothing.....so it's really a mixed bag, out of sync.

As for Rambus, I wish you well, perhaps I should forward your suggestion to Intel...go back to RAMBUS...

Thanks for the links....
Remember, bandwidth is a meaningless benchmark. I know no program called bandwidth. Then there is the latency..
OTOH, as long as they have RDRAM, Intel will have nice benchmarks to use to make the P4 look good...of course when you buy on in the store you usually get DDR or SDRAM...
I suppose you still need 2 sticks of RDRAM.....still a big problem in the mainstream.
