<But its latest medium projections conclude that in this century we can expect a "slowing of population growth rates" followed by "slow reductions in the size of world populations." >

Slow? Botswana and most of Africa are getting a horrendously fast slowing of population growth after a staggeringly fast growth rate over the last 20 years. AIDS infections are enormous.

Now that reproduction is something people choose to do instead of a consequence of getting randy, there is likely to be a vast population implosion. Few women in a position to choose are keeping the numbers up.

Fortunately, It will take over where all those people used to produce the goods. Robots are tireless and efficient. People can do what they are good at, leaving the real stuff to what Ted Kaczynski worries about.
