Flocking Back to Stocks

By James J. Cramer

----------------------------------------

They can't take the market down, and this rally will breed more good thinking about stocks. In fact, this market's behavior, if it can stay up here, could breed a significant change in thinking about equities.

Much of the market is self-fulfilling. When you get a two-day rally, you get the front page of The New York Times . You get on the nightly news. You get in peoples' heads, and they think, "holy cow, I can make money again at this game."

That's where we are at this very minute.

It is a big change in the psychology, and we have to respect it.

It is very bullish.

Random musings: Is late better than never when it comes to research? A few days ago I called out Goldman Sachs' Paul Wuh for mindlessly reiterating his buy of Nextel NXTL while other analysts were saying, look out, there could be trouble. Today he downgraded it, claiming the reduced guidance from AT&T Wireless AWE raises a "red flag" for the wireless industry. I am not going to pile on -- he was mentioned as one of "Squawk Box's" penguins this morning on CNBC , when he finally did the right thing and pulled the stock along with other players in the group. But I have to tell you this is still not value-added. This sector has been weak for nine months now, and it is just at this point that the analysts are waking up to the decline.
