re: Israelis escalate mayhem with botched raid

This is very troubling. The IDF publishes rules of engagement that say they will only use assassination against 'ticking bombs', then they blast a bunch of school kids. Hey guys, leave targeting kids to the other side! 'Sorry' doesn't help (though it is more than we've ever heard from the other side, even when they have clearly whacked Arabs by mistake) What's worse, it sounds like Kach is starting up again with this "Revenge of the Babes" group. I hope the police find them and jail them -- fast.

But the mayhem will escalate with or without botched raids, since Arafat is clearly taking advantage of his temporary immunity. Arafat repeats the political patterns of the Mufti; to keep power, he whips up extreme emotions and actions; to stay ahead of the game, he must then grow more and more extreme. Now he is moving his PA Police to join the Tanzim, Al Aqsa, and Hamas in the terrorist campaign, thus bringing on full-scale war.
