Re: "Please cite an example of hate he has 'spewed'":

Bashing either Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton daily, five times a week, for 11 years straight. OK. Your turn to defend that.

You see, Chuck, you just don't get it. Twenty-five years ago Bill Buckley would haul in the Michael Moores of the world onto "Firing Line" and the two would debate the issues in a dignified manner. Never happens anymore. Why? Because formal debate takes talent, requires homework on the part of the debater, and assumes the audience wishes to be enlightened.

There's very little true debate in the media today, especially on AM right-wing hate radio. It's just hour after hour, day after day, year after year, of continuous right-wing bashing.

What I find humorous is that so many of the ultra-right-wing bashers declare themselves "middle of the road" or "libertarian."

Another example: Some local clown who was filling 3-6 p.m. yesterday on AM 550 for the regular guy said Daschle and the Democrats were "unpatriotic" because they didn't pass Bush's economic stimulus package and give $1.3 trillion to Big Business. Sometimes I wonder whether these people even know what they're saying.
