Ya, I agree with both those points. Things aren't getting better with the internet infrastucture, but it's an improvement over the dial-up with Mosaic.

And I remember when Mosaic came along, it seemed incredible.

Still having troubles.

Could be Sympatico fooling with something.
I think they're about to introduce some sort of bandwidth monitoring and daily download limits, so it's possible they're installing devices to do that.
