my bees are with my nephew - actually sone of my wife's cousin -. He has 10+ beehives, he even built a solid hut for them (machines, tools, all included). On their home farm above the plain. I will probably take over the queens when Im 64; Beekeeping thread ... there must be something like this somewhere around, but not on SI. Far better is mixing with these people. They have so much to tell... You probably have HR hives - our hives are bigger and easier to handle. In any case, from all that honey one could easily get chronic indigestion and rotten teeth. They're really good - i mean the bees. Except you need to return the favour and feed them sugar in cold months. dj
