["Try to stay out of the way of the Yankee juggernaut."]

...I've been a Yankee fan all my life... from the end of the Mantle era thru the dark days of Bobby Murcer & Horace Clarke, to Bucky Dent, Thurman & Reggie (the infamous straw that stirred Billy's drink (my favorite Yankee era)... to Cone, Wells, Pettit & Jeter, Bernie, Tino & Co - which I call the "corporate era".

...but; the Cub's are sort of a curse one inherits in this neck of the woods... ya just can't get rid of it and as we all know - it's allways when, not if... with the Cub's ~

Can you belive it's been 33 years since the infamous fade of '69 ?

Leo the lip, Banks, Beckert, Kessinger, Santo, Hundley et al & Fergie, Hands, Holtzman & the "vulture"... doesn't seem possible that it's been 30+ years... I can still still see Santo "clicking" his heels after each win & I can still hear Jack Brickhouse's famous "hey-hey" on each Home Run... that's the thing about baseball in that era... the history.

PS: ...which will re-occur first:

$800 Gold, or the Cubs winning the pennant (vbg) ?
