I can't disagree with that! Be aware though, that there are other institutions that allow abuse among their ranks and look the other way...in the medical field, in education, in social work and in police stations. It takes real guts to turn in a peer on rumor...and then be proven wrong. My own experience has taught me that when you hear it, you turn whoever it is in. Let DSS or the police take it from there. I have filed many reports of abuse on parents and on some professionals. It ain't easy but the abuse of a child is to horrific to ignore.
