Yes, perhaps in some countries that is true. But in many countries in Europe, young boys are still recruited at a very young age and attend all male pre-seminary schools. This was the case for many years here in the States also. I have argued this point for years. You don't allow prepubescent boys to make a lifelong choice before they know what life is all about. Most of these accused priests are older, many retired and they certainly fall under the old procedure of starting them as seminarians at the age of 11/12. A really dumb idea, obviously!
