Why no outrage from either Andrew Sullivan or Zoltan regarding the disappointment-in-the-prosecution-of-the-war comments from conservative Republican Sen. Jim Bunning? He said much the same as the Senate majority leader, did he not?

Paul Wellstone hasn't heard this yet. Yesterday, when Bush was in town here giving a speech on education, Wellstone had a press conference in another part of town BLASTING Bush's CUTS IN EDUCATION SPENDING.

The opposition is rattled. Bush's Education Bill, passed last year with the help of Senator Ted Kennedy, has also neutralized a key Democratic issue

Re: Daschole is the worst of his corrupt party. That's why they made him their leader.

Sen. Daschle is awfully mild mannered and polite. I'm sure Carl Rove is really regretting that he couldn't find someone more sinister to vilify in his simplistic Manichean good vs. evil cartoon version of a very complicated world.

I see where Linda Sanchez, sister of Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez (who defeated Bob Dornan a few years back), is running in a newly created congressional district in Los Angeles County. If elected, the Sanchezes would be the first sisters to serve in Congress.

Neat story, isn't it?
