Millunovich is neutral on both ibm and sunw. o.k., well, then he must think that there is not going to be any uptick in hardware sales as the economy improves. maybe he is high on dell?

in any case, he is negative on everything. with all the scrutiny on analysts these days he probably is going to collect his $10 mil pay package annually and make recommendations after the fact. no risk strategy and he can never be wrong. not good for investors but it sure sets up his retirement nicely.

rocky.

Charles, here's what Robertson Stephens had to say today

Sun Microsystems, Inc. a [NASDAQ: SUNW $8.67]

12-Month Price Target: $14.00
F2002E EPS: $(0.08)
F2003E EPS: $0.27
Buy
Eric Rothdeutsch, Semiconductors/Computer Hardware

Investment Conclusion: In its mid-quarter update to be held this Thursday after the close, we expect Sun to reaffirm prior FQ3 guidance of slightly higher revenues and a modest improvement in gross margins. We believe the company has seen good demand thus far in the quarter for its new server and storage products, although our checks also indicate that the quarter remains back-end loaded. We are reiterating our Buy rating on shares of SUNW and 12-month price target of $14.
