ISS recommended that HP shareholders vote for the merger with Compaq. I don't have a spin yet on how this is good for Intel, or bad. Need to think about it.

they have never been successful out side of their monopolistic pc processor market before and we'll see if they can translate that to a non-x86 server processor market with ia64.

Intel has been quite successful in Flash memory and now StrongArm processor based designs. Certainly not to the extent of their Processor Division but successful nonetheless.
