What if...

a) Yamhill doesn't exist, or
b) Yamhill is several years down the road.

However, you build up a nice argument under the assumption that:

c1) Yamhill will be in Intel's upcoming Pentium 4, and
c2) Yamhill will have to follow in the footsteps of Hammer.

I don't feel that it's best to assume 'c' for right now, though. Evidence still says that IA-64 will do quite well for Intel, and basing its success on the current Development Platform volumes doesn't seem applicable, IMO.
