One mention of a lawyer is ususally enough to bring about swift compromise that turns the classroom control over to the mob, i.e. no backing of the teacher and no discipline for the student. I think you're exactly right Gordon. Notwithstanding the arguement regarding the parents responsibility, most good parents want out of the public schools because of the spineless administration as well as the Teacher's Unions that keep poor performers on board and simply brush them off to the least favorable schools. Crappy kids, parents, teachers, and administrators.
