So let me get this right:

When a Republican questions the prosecution of the War on Terrorism, he is "concerned with results."

When a Democrat questions the prosecution of the War on Terrorism (using basically the same language), he "is more concerned with bashing President Bush than he is concerned with the results."

Yep. Makes complete sense to me. Thanks for your erudite analysis. Don't know where I'd be without you keeping me straight, Coach.

Uhh, Bill,

You forgot the part about Tom DeLay declaring Sen. Daschle unpatriotic for not acceding to Bush's escalation of the conflict.

And frankly, I've followed the discussion in the media, and I believe that both Daschle and Byrd were quite rightly concerned about the budgetary impact of an unspecified policy as well as the normal checks and balances between the Congress and the Executive branch.

I will challenge you to find one quote where Daschle actually says anything approximating "bashing President Bush". I don't think you can find it.
