If memory serves, that last Fib turn was a low, Les. Should this one be a high? Some cycles have March 11 as a cycle date on the SPX/Dow/NYA.

Les: Anytime I can get a sub 22 VIX close at a the beginning of the month rally caused by the addition of fresh meat into this market with a hint of a turn in the Vix (lower prices; lower Vix), I think you have to think short. There have been many set ups like this the past year.

With respect to the VXN, I have a stronger argument in addition to the one above. We are bouncing off the downtrend line today with a slightly bullish (inverse to the market) doji. Of course, longer term, the VXN is a short's dream as more complacency has not created higher prices trendwise.
