The "G" could be "good" but in this case it would have to mean processors which didn't have a portion lopped off by the edge of the wafer. The values correspond to those calculated by the formulas provided here by others. AMD's comments (but not always due to the vagaries of public speaking) typically have used these numbers in the context of "candidate" dies. It would be nice if the slides were more clearly labelled.

On a side note, the die_calculator.xls file for determining chip yield/wafer simply wouldn't open for me:

'die_calculator.xls' cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only [it isn't], or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding. [no servers here]

Any assistance would be appreciated by PM since I may be the only one with the problem.
