Define Tech Dave.. Since DMC is in software business, data backup and recovery, transformation etc., I consider it a bread and butter tech..

Nevertheless, lots of uncertainty in techs for sure.. But there have been some notable winners since Sept. lows as well.. such as CSN.TO ATY.TO

while i am blown away by how well you are doing, i would like to comment on "the crap shoot".

tech stocks are getting slammed, but i think the bigger picture is not what field to invest in based on sector, rather to invest in what you know.

oil and gold are two big no-no's for me. Given my limited knowledge in the terms, the costs, test results, earning potentials, laws, etc... i can not honestly comment on most of the information or PR's as to their worth. I would have to rely on others to tell my why something is good news or bad.

In my case, the biotech and tech stocks make sense. I can see the development paths and interpret the potential as i see fit with some assurance. (although i am often surprised at the market reactions)

while these fields are pretty volatile, i think that many investors plunk into techs with little or no experience... a scenario much like the one i described for oil and gold for me. Investing based on other people's interpretation of news and numbers. Most of them never look at the balance sheets.

maybe i am just old school.

that being said, you are still kicking my ass here.
