"As for big names techs, I tend to agree.. To make money in the techs, I think one needs to keep valuation in mind and looking for niche players out of the limelight or stocks with basically strong balance sheets given up for dead due to sector weakness is where one should look.. Easier said then done.. And it will take time and patience, quarter after quarter of earnings results and gradual move up." very well said. i believe the same can be said for the airlines. I have loved southwest for years. They have been showing the "big boys" how it should be done for years. now they are a big boy.
