the adx falling started late last week - i interpret it as the downtrend was weakening. as the move up so quick so sharp, it will take a while before the adx turn up to reflect the trending up.

during range mkt it seems everytime the adx start to confirm current move, game over. you can see it quite clearly during may thru aug in 2001.

but the move up from sept low was gradually during first phrase and went much longer so allow adx to confirm.

who knows what would be this move ... intc i guess would maintain guidance. which probably is good enough.

we lost storage today. but many trash dump stocks move up, optics & wireless. so within tech lots of rotation occurring. it is as you said when ALL analysts hate the sector, it is close the bottom and one has to buy. when everyone loves it, it is close the top and one has to sell.

look how they hate ge and power producers only 1 or 2 weeks ago ? ge was such a laggard in dj ... and now it plays catch up. it seems we always have to look for laggards to play catch up.
