rather nondescript and devoid of any animal habitat? Nondescript....yes. As for animal habitat it all depends on what you call habitat. The animals migrate through, but not in the winter, which when they want to explore for oil. The place is frozen 9 months of the year and is rather inhospitable for man or beast or bird. It is barren and frozen. Also, there is far more danger to the caribou herds from the natives hunting them on snowmobiles with modern weapons under the classification of subsistence hunting.
