Remember that the transfer of wealth is to the likes of those who control all the media outlets. A contrary issue has to be pretty big to force it's way past those few people guarding their King-sized piggy banks, and will naturally abate as quickly as stock options evaporating on a Black Monday.

Mike, Enron and the massive transfer of wealth will slip from the headlines like Jesse Ventura from the grip of a vasoline-covered Pee Wee Herman, but stories like this are technically life itself (i.e. apparently self-replicating and self-sustaining):

Mike-- The market usually climbs a wall of worry, but this time it seems to be clambering up the slope of hope. The only worry appears to missing the boat.
Speaking of boats----just came across this on Kitco.
