Somewhat wary is a wise position. Casting wild accusations toward an individual on the basis of gender alone is not.

That is certainly a valid point, but many of those things could be said about murderers: many are average looking, many are personable, most are relatives or friends of the victim, etc. We do not constantly worry over which of our acquaintances is a murderer. Are the number of pedophiles in the male population sufficient to view men generally as risky?
