"In SysMark 2001, an Athlon XP 2000+ only performs 69% better than a T-Bird 900 MHz. That must mean it performs just like a T-Bird 1500 MHz. So tell me, where does "2000+" comes from? ;-)"

Please do not demonstrate your stupidity. The SysMark
does not scale 100% with frequency, every kid knows this.
Therefore is must be easy to comprehend that in order
to perform like XP2000+, T-bird must be much higher than
1500MHz, and most likely the 2000 number is a fair
match.

BTW, the whole discussion is nonsense. The bottom line
is that AMD beat Intel with QuantiSpeed marketing.
Eat the crow and do not whine.

I am not an expert but it does seems to me that office performance is not the same as cpu performance. But if you think it is the same then I'll take your word foir it... :-))

what you think of:
Message 17159451
Message 17161114

"You may be outraged that Intel can claim $1.73 a share in earnings when it really made $1.40, and that the company is getting a $900 million tax break from the U.S. Treasury to boot. But if you're an Intel shareholder directly or through a mutual fund, do you really want to see Intel's shares take another hit in exchange for accounting accuracy?"

and goodwill issue as well......

I tell you if they would make intel honest what is next... :-)) if you ask me it is simply unamerican thing to do <gggg>
