Karen, good points! I read your post a short time ago and the site was really informative. I spent some time today searching for info on male/female pedophilia and found the following site. It's also informative but it...like yours...is an early 90s paper. I am concerned that the research is not continuing in this area... I think that you will find the discussion of boys being abused by women vs girls being abused by men a little troubling as I did. The boys refer to their abuse as "sexual initiation" and the girls as "sexual violation". Does our society condone sexual abuse on young boys by women because it's less offensive...or is it perpetuated as an " initiation" by their fathers, uncles and friends? ipt-forensics.com I find this disturbing! What a good post. I sent this comment in a PM to someone yesterday. Re priests, gayness, children: I do think that priests are likelier for obvious and humanly sad reasons to be more likely to be homosexual than yer basic other-profession guys. I mean that I think the percentage of gay priests is probably high. And I suspect that some of them [hetero or homosexual] would be with adults if they hadn't become priests, but feel that avenue closed to them, and convince themselves that with children, just caressing, just mouths, it's not as bad as actual fucking. Just my intuition.
