Most Christians, at this point, are pretty latitudinarian, and do not take an exclusive attitude towards other religions, including Judaism. Even the great Christian apologist C.S. Lewis gave a liberal twist to that passage, noting that all had to come to the Father through Christ, but that how that would occur was not specified. His idea was that there was a sort of last chance, where the fog of culture and history would lift, and one could make a final, informed choice, but that the choice would not be pat, instead reflecting the sincerity with which one had sought truth instead of being mired in egoism and sensuality.........
