Sometimes a coincidence is only a coincidence. I will be very surprised if any connection ever develops between Atta and his group, and the anthrax incident at the headquarters of American Media, Inc. - yet, the real estate agent who rented Atta his apartment is married to an editor for American Media. That's probably one of those six degrees of separation things. Remember the hubbub over the butterfly ballot in West Palm Beach? Remember the recount in Broward County? Well, West Palm Beach and Hollywood and Boca Raton are pretty close to each other. Probably no connection between Al Qaeda and the butterfly ballot, nor Israeli spies and the butterfly ballot, either, but it would make a great Oliver North plot.
