Vt, as of this writing gold has dropped below $293 and nikkei opened up 2%.

Tokyo stocks posted healthy gains by mid-morning on Thursday after further signs of a U.S. economic recovery fuelled hopes for an expansion in Japanese exports and brighter business prospects at global firms.

So let me ask you... Ahem! The Japanese market is rising because of "hope," isn't that what the U.S. markets are doing?

Are all the markets rising on hope?

As for what we might be expecting? ... Well, we'll see some firesale prices now that the Glamis deal is a distant memory. At the opening tomorrow morning we're going to be in a bloodbath - and we'll also be hearing the old "I told you so" from the naysayers -- only the strong need apply.

Got cash? I hope so - you'll probably get a few of those stink bids in.
