I went 3D today, being another fantastic day [the kind Raymond doesn't believe we have and has old links from a year ago to prove it]. It was a day of peace, light, harmony and happiness. Sun, wind and sea-propelled wave functions came rolling across the Tasman Sea for me to play in, like a duck, but in fun and pleasure, not fear: <I think we finally are starting to get to Maurice. See him jump, run, paddle across the water like a duck. > Tourists were happily oohing and ahhing at the view. Running along an uncrowded [almost empty] beach conflicts with developing intense paranoia over far-removed cyberspace financial worldly woes. We collected daughter1 from university where happy people were doing the normal things, including hanging out in the sun, basking in Albert Park [I don't know where the people are - there were more than that today]http://www.psych.auckland.ac.nz/Psych/research/web_resource/linked_pages/where_are_we.htm Roads were busy, people seemed all okay. Went for pizza and wine at an inner city place. Many cheerful people everywhere. In an act of selfishness, there was somebody who spoiled the idyllic picture. We [wife, daughter, me] were walking back to the car and somebody started backing into a parking place and somebody swooped straight in behind him. Now that's the sort of behaviour which does lead to those market crashes and conflict and mayhem. The swooper had a young woman with him, both in their early 20s. The other motorist, a Chinese guy, also in his 20s, had backed up and was a bit unhappy about the position [I didn't hear his dissenting remarks] and I was irritated after such a pleasant day, so opened the passenger door [of the swooper] to inform him that that was quite a rude thing to do. I think he was feeling a bit aware that he wasn't in the majority and that it wasn't a good look in front of a young lady [who also didn't appear to be impressed by his cunning]. So he said, "Okay, okay, I'll move" after the briefest discussion. Since he was such a co-operative chap, I pointed out that 20 metres up the road, we were moving and he could have that space. So we all ended up happy and he will think twice before trying barbarianism. I guess in New York or Kabul he'd pull a gun on me and we'd all have a shootout instead of a fun meeting of minds. I'll try for those apocalypse feelings of inevitable barbarianism tomorrow. There simply weren't enough barbarian people around today to make me think that they will get the upper hand. Can't we just get everyone to play nicely? I was almost there. So near and yet so far. Peace, light, harmony and prosperity to all, Mq
