He along with his partners or should I say "it" is basically the holding companies, the offshore LLCs, the hedge funds and the finance companies. Restaurant Teams is one of the funded companies that sued the funder. Don't know if your question was rhetorical or not. There are some interesting connections between all the companies funded by Mark Valentine. Directors of ASTN were also directors of MBPT, Brown and Gothner. Stock promoter of NPCT is also promoter for MBPT, Kathy Knight. Investor relations for NPCT is also IR for HYPD (hpyd?), James Stock. I'm sure there are even more connections if one were to really dig. A note about all these companies who have taken toxic funds. They were either suspect companies such as ASTN, NPCT with basically no real, real product, just a stock promoting, share printing entity. Or they were just losers like MBPT, JNOT though more honestly they were probably all suspect losers. I don't know enough about securities law to know whether or not valentine did indeed violate any laws in relation to the entities, the entities nationality and the SEC and US laws. I now personally feel that these companies should have known better and probably did. Valentine's past was public knowledge as are all the lawsuits and track records of the companies he funded. The companies either didn't do their DD or they did and liked what they saw. Without the toxic funds, these companies would have been dead anyway so I see no lost value. They weren't worth the price they were trading at before Valentine funded them. It'll be very interesting to see how the lawsuits turn out. Perhaps they will just settle. Maybe this O'Quinn guy just got a little too cocky with his huge tobacco wins. I do know that npct is paying legal fees for the case so O'Quinn is not flipping the whole bill. O'Quinn also got shares from NPCT. Talk about conflict of interest. Maybe they're all in on it ;-)
