Hi NightOwl; I think you can safely eliminate any chance that the big money types are going to get back into Rambus. They got burned too well, and the company now has an aura of disreputiblitude.

And as far as SiS, you can put the rumors that they're going to support RDRAM in the same place that the announcement that Winbond was going to go into RDRAM mass manufacture.

The Taiwanese put out that sort of press release or rumor with some regularity. My guess is that Rambus puts pressure on them with regard to options that they were earlier granted. So they put out a press release and Rambus concludes that they're in compliance for another six months.

If this is true, maybe it will come out with the discovery in the shareholder lawsuits. I'm all but certain that Rambus has some funky contract language in their agreements with various companies.

The Rambus longs are back mostly because the stock price is up strong the last few days. The rest are back because I've pronounced the secret, malign and cabalistic words that call them back from the haunts of the recently dead, dead, dead: "hey moron!"
