KAABA vs SAALAGRAAMA , (and VISHNU ROCK)--What is the difference?

The muslims saw the Kaaba (a Cube of stone) in Mecca given by Gabriel to Abraham, were moved to tears and felt the spirit pervade their body. Now tell me the difference among Kaaba of the muslims, and Salagram and Linga of Hindus and Vishnu Rock of the the earth scientists. If circumambulating Kaaba is not idol worship, tell me what is idol worship?
Kaaba, Salagram and Linga, and Vishnu Rock are infused with magical and spiritual powers and represent God on earth. It is worshipping earth and all its beings. The stone is prakriti (matter) for the Hindus and the Spirit is Purusa. The Spirit has control over matter. That is the message. The muslims and Christians say the same thing using different words. Killing each other is insane.
The Hindus knew the sacredness of the elements and the physical body that it helped create. The muslims and the Hindus have to understand this commonality in their beliefs.

A prayer to counter a hellish fire..???
asianageonline.com
If the Hindutva movement had reacted with prayer rather than punishment to Godhra, there would have been a national outpouring of sympathy of unparalleled proportions. It lost that chance when it could not cleanse hatred from its reaction.

JPR's note:
Mr.M.J.Akbar should reread his history books. It is a well-documented fact: Yes, Hindus were known to have offered prayer in the temples when foreign muslims invaded the country, demolished the temples and killed the priests and the devotees in the temple premises. That did not stop the killings by the marauding muslims. They found no honor in peace and found morbid satisfaction in wanton killings and plunder. That mind-set of "kill and plunder" has trickled down to many generations of some muslim in India. It is 84 to 12 ratio between Hindus and muslims. It is worthwhile to think about it for the safety of all. That is reality. The Govt, the military and the police cannot stop the retaliation in a developing country like India, though it is absolutely wrong.

Unrighteousness to preserve righteousness --the Paradox of Hindu Parivar

I came across this saying from Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami and it is worthwhile to remember this:
"The whole idea of being adharmic in order to preserve dharma makes humans the most despicable creatures. This should be ripped out of Hinduism without mercy as far as I am concerned."

Dharma: righteousness
Adharma: unrighteousness
