That is interesting. Did you notice New Mexico? 17 for heterosexual sex and 13 for homosexual? I noticed many countries had higher ages for homosexual sex. Canada is 14 across the board. Fourteen seems a awfully young to me.

BTW, the age listed here for California differs from the clip from the law posted yesterday by Marie.

How about New Mexico? 17 for hetero, 13 for homo sex. That seems a little strange. That's close to homosexual pedophilia being legal.

The UK age for consensual sex is 16 (recently reduced for homosex also). Parental consent required to marry or join the armed forces.
LOL! I just asked that. Never mind.

But you still can't drink or vote until 18.
Drinking here is generally 21. Voting is 18. Was 21, but H got raised during the Vietnam Fiasco- -"You can get drafted and killed at 18, but you can't vote."

There's a UK tale that when male homosex was made illegal in the UK, under Queen Victoria, she refused to have lesbianism made illegal because she did not believe any such thing existed... LOL.
Could she have been afraid someone would 'out' her? :-)
